The area has been settled by humans since prehistoric times, and over the centuries it’s been occupied by the Hittites, Persians, Romans, early Christians, Byzantines, Seljuk Turks and Ottomans. Most of its rock buildings and underground cities in still good condition and some of them in use aswell. It is one of my favorite places on Earth. Fees like making a round trip to Mars! Definetely a MUST see!
